Default Engine Management

I need to get a standalone for my car and have no idea what to get. Also, there isnt really anyone around me that tunes hondas. If anyone knows somebody in the Iowa, Illinois area that is good at tuning hondas let me know please. Here is my setup.
97 LS block and head
moroso oil pan
knife edged and micropolished crank
Je pistons and rings, custom sleeved and pinned block
Ported head, 5 angle valve job, all titanium valvetrain
custom spec web cams, z speed cam gears
ported intake manifold, t/b
custom fuel rail, sds fuel system
6btm msd with timing computer, blaster coil, msd wires 10mm, iridium plugs
copper head gasket, fluidyne radiator
To4 turbo
Spearco Dual Core intercooler
Delta II Wastegate
Type R BOV
The car has 550 cc injectors but im swapping them out for a set of 1000's. Any suggestions are appreciated. thanks

Accel DFI Gen 7, SpeedPro, Fast. They are all good since it was writing by the same guy. However I am leaning towards speedpro and Fast now because I'm starting to like the auto correction which uses a standard NTK wideband o2.

If you haven't played around with it yet, how do you know it's so good?

Where is the cheapest I can find the Accel, SpeedPro, or fast. I would like to read up on these also. Any websites would be appreciated.

if you search for falcon's post on the AEM auto-tune feature it pretty much gives you an idea of what it can do. Essentially with a wideband you can give the EMS an a/f ratio that you want to target and it will either lean or richen up your mixture to attain that goal. I believe the speedpro also has the same feature as well.

The AEM EMS is awesome if tuned well, just like with any other system. It is real easy to tune if you know how a motor works. I got 310hp out of my motor with only a couple hours tuning on only about 10psi

And I'd also encourage you to run slightly smaller than 1000cc injectors. Get a tial wg. You will not need the "timing computer" with a standalone either. good luck

That's very similar to what my ECU does. Except mine's a bit more active, and is always adjusting in accordance to load, TPS, EGT, WB, MAP or MAF (your choice, I prefer MAF) and it remains constant with-in set AFR parameters. It's cheaper too. You also won't need a computer or extensive wiring or tuning experience. Straight up plug-and-play baby! All you do is mount your AFR and EGT display.

Depends on how many more set-backs we will have. I got laid off from my regular job, and I haven't had any design work in the past month. My daily grind spun a bearing, and my Saab snapped ait's timing chain back last July. I get a $150 fix-it ticket everytime I drive my RX-7, and my '90 hatch had a turbo'd B20 that cracked sleeves 1,2,3, & 4. It wasn't a good year for me last year. Now I'm looking to sell some of my Dj equipement just so I can buy a D16 for my '90 hatch. Anyone have a good deal on one? I can build and tune engines like you wouldn't believe, but I don't have a reputation anymore for doing it (friend screwed me out of a few deals) so I haven't been able to get anyone to give me work in that either. I'm supposed to build a BB Chevy for a rail, but I don't start that till the end of March. Sorry to give you my stress and drama, but I just needed explain why I'm not sure when it'll be ready. I'm working on it every single day since I have no work or a regular job. It's coming along quite nicely, and I should be done with all the simulations very soon, I hope. MoSiX cluster's rock! Anyone in the Mid-west need help with building or tuning? I'm cheap...

Well if you ever need anyone to be a guinea pig for your system let me know. I could get your name out there, especially here in the southwest.

Definately!

Hondata won't compare, and I'll be around the same price for the base unit which is about the equivalent of the Electromotive units. Except no computer will be needed. A definate plus over the Hondata. Just you and your trusty clutch foot.

will your ECU be compatible with all Hondas? In particular, 96 OBD2 prelude h23a

Speed Pro/FAST is a universal ECU. Pretty much use it on anything. Just set it up for the right type of igntion and number of injectors and go. Definitely one of the best things i bought for my car.
