I have been searching on this site and a couple of others to become educated as to what I will need for my soon to be drag 3 powered si. So many people are purchasing engine management systems. I'm not trying to be cheap or nothing, but why does everyone now need engine management? What did people use before hondata, aem, etc, became popular? Can a b16 be driven at moderate boost levels 6-9 psi without engine management, with proper tuning or course, or is it just inevitable that it will blow up?
