engine cleaning

Default engine cleaning

i was running open turbo for awhile cuz my dp fell off , does anyboyd know what cleans exhaust carbon off good? its all over my block and tranny, basically the WHOLE engine bay. i cant scrub everywhere it flows to so i need something strong that will melt that black crap off. thanks.

actually, i would try like castrol super clean, or simple green degreaser, that stuff works awsome, just dont dilute it

Simple Green works extremely well for these situations, buy yourself a concentrated bottle of it, and let it soak in the really bad areas, and repeat.

I myself don't like Super Clean...I used it on my first engine and when it dried it left this while powdery **** all over even after it was fully rinsed. As far as the electronics, I had absolutelly no problems.

I had the same problem because a couple bolts were missing on my old car's header, so there was black **** eveywhere and I used wheel cleaner. Put it on, let it sit a few minutes and sprayed it off with a hose. Worked great.
