Im gonna be getting a short block or maybe long block ver very soon, built for boosted purposes to take about 450ish bhp. So it wil be sleeved e.t.c ( b16 block).

But who do you trust??

Ive pm'd and emailed - Camp1320 - no reply

So there's , - RD Dyno
- JG engine Dynamics
- Dynamic Performance
- Eagle

Who do i go with and why??? Those of you who have had blocks built, what ya recon. And yeh ive searched and had mixed reviews on most. Help me before i waist my hard earnings!!!!

If you call around and speak to a few of these sleeving companies you will see who is who very quickly. Ive been treated with nothing but respect from both ERL (Sean) and Benson (Earl).

I was lucky enough to take a tour of the shop down at ERL(dropped of parts for align hone) and it was quite an experience. They have top notch equipment and run a very organized operation. As soon as my parts entered the building there was someone writing down serial numbers, documenting parts ect...If I were to sleeve another block it would definitely be through these guys.

Thanks for the info guys.

Ive sent an email to Full Race as there sorting out my whole build so far, might aswell take the money for my block aswell. 450bhp here we come .

Hopefully with the right tyres and grip levels this will be the quickest FWD in the UK, at the moment a lighting fast 12.01 is the fastest lol, slow i know!! most people here all run 4wd and rear, homo's!!

Earl benson sleeves is what I used...

Dude please do yourself a favor and take JG engine dynamics off your list
I had a sleeved block from them and the sleeves moved... rebuilt the motor and the sleeves sank again... not to mention the hundreds of other people just like me.

I believe ERL did the work on Geoff's engine for his black hatch. If you're getting other things through them that doesn't sound like a bad way to go.

IB just did mine havent got it running yet but im happy so far it was about 5 grand for sleeves, pistons, rods, cam gears, head studs, timing belt, knifed crank, balanced, blue printed, headgasket, bearings, new water pump, new oil pump,he sends your head to portflow where it gets rev hard springs, retainers, valves & pnp'd i think thats it it came to a total of 5,180 shipped and assembled thats bout what it is i i were to buy the all the parts seperate and assemble it myself so i felt it was a fair price to pay and on top of that no running all over the place getting machine work done here and there one stop shopping at its best goodluck
