Engine balance what is involed

I never understood how its done, do i assemble my engine and have a shop balance it or do i give the shop my pistons, rods and crank all seperate. Please explain lol

most shops will charge extra if you have them tear down the motor. id tear it down and give them everything individually

thanks thats whay i was looking for, so they weight all the parts and get them all the same weight then balance the crank right.
