Im not against Larry or Endyn, just thought people should know. That is why this message board is up, correct. Just to inform people. I never said anything bad about Larry or his work. Just letting people know how others feel and what kind of experience they have had. So don't flame if you want to flame go to the other message board and tell them that. I never said anything.

 

Well, I can tell you that any established tuner has had their share of blown up motors. It happens. When you are building ultra high performance motors, reliability is not always a certainty. Parts fail, it's a fact of life. Honda people are slowly learning the fact that, despite Honda's reputation for reliable motors, when you push the limits, things break. I won't look down upon anybody for blowing up a motor, unless it's due to stupidity.

 

Sure...many shops/people have blown up motors, and you cant look down on them for doing it...but...you can look down on a shop for blowing up a customer's motor and not notifing them of the situation. totally unprofessional.

 

Just had to put my .02 pennies on this.

Enydyn's pistons are not ctr copies. Have you even looked at the two, they look nothing alike. As far as Larry just sanding down the wiseco pistons, who do you think designed them? Here's a hint, it wasn't wiseco.

I'm sorry that Atomic feels that they got the shaft, but get over it. Trying to smear the name of a company that has been in this industry longer than you have been alive is not a very good way to gain credibility.

Ps: Endyn isn't just Larry's house, trust me on this....

 

The motor that blew up was not Atomic's. It was Endyns prototype that was still very experimental. It was to be installed in Atomics car for testing purposes.

I don't know all of the details, so I am not taking sides, however, please do a bit of research before you start blathering off.

 

I'd like to add my 2 cents.

Larry is a good guy. We've dealt with him on several occassions and have no complaints. I have 2 questions though. I don't know if they can be answered but they've been bugging me ever since I read these posts.

1) Are the NASCAR motors he's contracted to work on done out of his house as well?

2) Why did everyone assume he worked out of a top secret, top dollar facility?

 

i think larry's tone of voice and way of working with customers makes us believe he has a "top secret" facility. It's like a movie where theres this big boss man, and you can only see th ebig boss man if he wants to see you. More so, you can only talk to him if he wants to talk, reach him if he wants to be reached. He's evaded so many people, that we think of him being super powerful (some people).

 

What's wrong with working out of your house? I know a guy that works out of his garage building motors and porting heads and he's one of the best around. He built one of the first ten second Hondas out of a Single cam and is still building motors today.

 

he's a very intelligent, very wealthy, and very picky individual. he's pretty 'clever' in the way he deals with people too...which means people get pissed at him cause of the way he deals with them. the man himself put it best:"When you make something that most people can't have and it works, you have controversy. "

the man's work is the ****. but dont expect to get any of his stuff into your car unless you can prove to him you're worth his time.

the bottom line is when your product is of a certain quality and you dont need the income, you dont have to sell it to anyone who can afford it. you can pick and choose.

I just dont understand why people talk **** if you have a problem with ENDYN dont go to ENDYN. Easy as that..
