Default EMS or not?

Just about to go turbo for the first time, and I can't decide wether or not to get an ems. Two main reasons I can't decide. First of running with just an fmu is a lot cheaper than purchacing a hondata 300. Second thing is since this is my first time boosting, might it be a better idea to start off with the basics and run at a lower psi? I'll be doing everything myself so would attemping to tune it myself be a little much? Thanks in advance!

Default Re: EMS or not? (trickmaster505)

an fmu will work. before all this freeware and hondata stuff was out just about everyone was using a fmu. but now that the freeware stuff and hondata is out it would be a better option to do it right the first time and be sure your car is tuned safely. how much money do u have to play with? if u have about 800 then i say go for the wideband and s300 but if your on a tight budget u can always get crome and a wideband and chip burner for about 400. if u cant afford that then u can run the fmu on low boost.
