I thought that this would be the best forum to post this in.
I want to run one coil per cylinder. On my EMS I have to run a crank sensor, but to run 4 coils I also need a cam sensor.
I'm going to buy Electromotive's crank wheel and sensor but I can't find anyone that makes a cam wheel and sensor.
Do you guys know of any company that makes one?
If not, can I use the stock distributor and gut it out and only keep one of the sensors in there as a cam sensor? My EMS allows me to change the amount of teeth to look for so I was thinking I might be able to do this. Then I could just make an aluminum cover for the distributor instead of using a cap.
Any help is greatly appreciated guys....thanks in advance!

you can use the stock distributor ..... i have done it a few times actually.
we sell a coil on plug kit for the ems ... 600 shipped, includes coils, aem cdi, custom wiring harness, and spark plugs. i will also setup your ems to run the coil on plug setup.
pm me for specific instructions on how to set it up.

Coil on plug, by that do you mean you sell coils that fit right on top of the plugs?
I'm thinking of running an MSD DIS-4 with (4) Blaster SS coils.
Has no one heard of anyone making cam wheel and sensor kits for Honda???

yea.. coil on plug.. we use 4 motor cycle style coils. they fit right on top of the plugs.. no plug wires at all.
you dont need any extra cam/crank sensors... the honda sensors work fine.

Sorry man, when I said EMS I didn't mean AEM. I meant engine management system. I have a DTA ecu. It's an english computer used in many rally race cars, etc. It requires that you use a 60-2 toothed wheel. And when using 4 coils it also requires the use of a cam sensor.
I have the crank wheel but I can't seem to find anyone that makes a cam wheel, thats why I was wondering if using the stock distributor, if I could get that to work.
But thanks.

We sell a dual pole hall sensor that can be used for cam and crank signal. If your ecu will only recognize a 60-2 wheel then you can't do this hall for the crank signal. If it'll recognize a square wave signal for the cam then all you have to do is use a hall sensor and put a magnet in your cam gear for the trigger. The square wave signal of the hall sensor is a much better signal than the stock magnetic sensor in the distributor. Gimme a call at the shop if you are interested or have any more questions.
