Can anyone explain what the "acceleration map" does????? I had my car tuned pretty good with just the additional injection map. Had a few little hicups at about 3k-3.5k rpms under normal drivability. Other than that it was great. The ful throttle portion of the map was spot on 11.5-12.0's. Not bad for street tuning only. Well I started messing with the accleration map on the drivability and it started to get better almost perfect so I thought I was all set, wrong. When I got on the highway to cruise back home my air/fuel was in the 9's. So I put all the acceleration map back to 0's for the time being. So i am curious as to if someone can explain to me what the acceleration map does and what its good for.


As you can tell this is my first tuning project other than an all motor car on the dyno with a vafc so I guess at this point right now I am concidered a newb again.
