Electronic boost controller w/ a data port pics (my project)
Update
We are currently looking for prototype testers. PM for details or check the forum in my signature for details. The type of wastegate does not matter any more. We have plenty of external wastegate testers so those internal wastegate guys can join in the fun.
Hardware Picture
Software Screen Shot
We have 3 left that are built, and the rest are sold and shipped.

As a many of you know, i've been working on a boost controller for a while. A thanks goes out to a few of you for your input and ideas for the project and here are some pics of the boost controller progress. The PCBs came in this morning and I had time to put one together, its not in the enclosure yet just pcb pictures.

I would love to test this product... Wastegate is a Tial 38mm, but I may be goin larger soon... I run anywhere from 9psi, to 25+, so Im sure I could give a pretty good evaluation... I would however like to hear more details of the controller, and some of its features.... If you could, please PM me more info...

Re: Electronic boost controller w/ a data port pics (Sinner)
Here are some of the features
1. RS232 dataport, for data logging, tuning, and updating
2. Flash Firmware update (the most important) so new features can be added.
3. Overboost protection
4. Very configurable, you can about adjust anything in the controller.
5. Shift prediction, to help mantain boost during a shift
6. High/Low Boost and Gain settings which can be adjust via a **** or locked in by software(recommended after tuning)
7. The boost controller's software engine is a mix of PI and A.I running a PIC16F786A at 20mhz (5MIPS) and uses a GM boost solenoid.
8. The boost limits set by are 2.5 or a 5 bar internal map sensor.
9. This boost controller will work with all stages of tuners from beginners to advanced. Beginners can use the Dials to set the system, the normal users can set thier configuration via software, and advanced user adjust the advance configuration in the software. So everyone can use it to thier ability. A computer is not needed, but recommend.
Here is what I'm looking for with testers. He/She must have a laptop/device to datalog using a serial port. I recommend a built motor that can handle boost and running at least 14psi. I'm looking for people with different turbo cars other than Honda's. I need feedback from other turbo cars. The person needs to have plenty of free time on their hands, because I need the datalogs from the controller even if the controller works great. I still need this information. Email me your configuration including car/turbo/manifold type/wastegate type/exhaust/motor/laptop details and os version to nick AT tullostech DOT com. I will be contacting people in sets. I plan to start shipping to testers in two/three weeks. The cost will be 115+shipping which includes is the controller/solenoid/manual and software.
I'm going to be working with a set 3-4 testers at a time and I will probably use two or three sets before its finished.
The next step is to take the production models and run them in the simulator. Then move it to my car and finally take it to the testers. I've already done this with the prototype, but I need to make sure there at no problems with the production models.
I'm sure I forgot some stuff, so I will update this later.

ive had alot of people saying they dont have a built motor but want to test. the major requirement is to have a laptop/pda that can datalog through the serial port and have some free time to test.

Re: (Fst Blk GTi)
depending on the price I might test one out for you if you have one that can do a staged boost. I have a fully built GSR with a Full-Race topmount and T3/T67 HO with 4" downpipe let me know how much to test this for you
