Default Electromotive, Tec2, and Coil Packs

Does anyone on here have experience with the Tec2 system?

My B17 had no distributor when I bought it, and since I'm going with engine management anyway I figured I might as well kill 2 birds with 1 stone and get something with direct-fire ignition. So far the 2 systems that look good to me are the Tec2 and Autronics. Does anyone have experience with either system?

I'd like any input on the pros and cons of these systems (or similar like the SDS).

you should consider the new tec-3 system. It has more features and greater tunability. SDS also has a similar system.

Electromotive is a very good system if your interested contact Shad at Accuracy Automotive (757)548-9227 and if you're intereted in an SDS call Grey with Millenium Autosports (757)488-4909 tell them Terry sent you! I plan on going SDS on my 89 DX hatchback when I do a swap in it since the SDS is pretty inexpensive

I heard that the tec2 system is harder to tune than other standalone systems...hopefully they cleared that up with the new tec3. Just buy a distributor and get DFI or haltech...

Haltech will do direct fire as well and you wont have to mount a trigger wheel.

I just finished tuning a Z31 with a jdm maxima single turbo 3.0 six in it with SDS. That system is EASY to tune, we were done in no time flat. 19 runs for perfect air/fuel and EGT's. Also has a closed loop option for better drivability. Real nice, especially for the price.
