Default edlebrock intake swap

i have a 84mm b16 turboed w/ a edelbrock victor intake manifold. im thinking of switching to either a edelbrock performer x, or skunk 2 style intake manifold. im just wondering if this will mess up my tune, because i dont want to pay to have it re-tuned

It will definitely change your tune...

Here is my car when I switched from the Victor X to the Skunk 2 PRO Series GSR IM...notice the gain in torque in the midrange.

thats a great comparison, you picked up over 30hp in some places. definatly looks like a worthwile swap.

but the car should run decent enough to drive w/o tune?

Actually...I saw LESS boost with the Skunk2 but still made more power.

More power means more air flowing through the motor.

More air moving through the motor without changing the tune means leans Air/Fuel Mixtures...

I was only at 10 psi, but my tune leaned out about .7 AFR...higher boost than that I would worry and recommend you get an immediate tune.
