Edelbrock kit for SOHC VTECH
hahah I kid I kid.. how many of you came in to yell at me for asking about a turbo for my phone.
A friend of mind has a 2000 Honda civic Si (Canadian Model) with a SOHC vtec engine. He was wondering about the Edelbrock Turbo Kit and weather or not it would be a good purchase. I know that this company is very well known and respected and manufactures quality parts. Does anyone have any experience with this kit on this engine? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
And I did do a search.. but what I came up with was mostly older posts wondering when the kit itself was comming out etc...

From: R.I.P Brian Arbogast...you will be missed, maryland, USA
just make your own kit... buy parts here and there till you get it all.. will save you $ in the long run.
Sorry, I just came in to yell about the spelling error
The Edelbrock kit is great and - if I remember correctly - 50-state CARB legal. It puts out nice power, but you could put together something custom with better engine management and make more on the same boost. It all depends on your familiarity with turbocharging and tuning and what you want the turnaround time to be.

its a quality kit- if you want no headache pieced together kit, I would reccomend it.
BUT like someone said, if you wanted to save a bit of money and decide what you want for each part of the kit, custom is the way to go.
a couple people on http://www.turbod16.com are running edelbrock kits
