Sounds more like something isn't working right, like a wastegate. I'd call Edelbrock tech support and they'll fix you up! They are great to deal with!

Yep, some of the Garrett wastegates have had bad crimps, but could be something else as well. Which is why you need to call their tech support!

yea, i remember when a magazine installed the kit (think it was super street) they didnt feel like hooking up the boost gauge and they had the same wg problem, threw a rod on the motor.

Yeah, that was Sport Compact Car, and one of the guys doing it was a Garrett engineer! But then, they finished the install at like 2am.
