ECU EPROM rewrite question
can you rewrite over an already chipped ECU with another program? such as reburn an EPROM that has Hondata with another program like Neptune or Crome? or do you have to get a new EPROM chip? I posted this in other forums as well but since this is going to be a turbo setup I figured you coulf offer some better insight.
if the chip is non UV light erase then yes...u can erase the memory and rewrite another bin onto it...
if you have the UV light one..u must erase it using UV light....then u can write onto it...
My advice is to save the bin file on the chip....erase it and burn the one your wanting...that way u can always put back ur old bin file if you need it...
Doesnt matter what program was used to make the map...its all the same file type in the end... a .bin file!
