ECU Chipping + components

Default ECU Chipping + components

When a honda ecu the chip that goes in location -IC4- do I need a chip with the exact code thats on the board -74HC373- or can I be off a few numbers. I.E. the numbers on the chip I'm using are 74LS373N.

Think this would cause a problem?

74LS373N is the same general item as 74HC373(the N is implied - regular 20 DIP).

LS chip is a low power item - uses the same voltage as HC, and can be used in place of it, but draws less current. It will work just fine.
