eagle rods
i was wondering at what whp do eagle rods start losing reliability with a good tune, and at what rpm are they safe to take to?im deciding between eagle or pauter rods but i can get 2 sets of eagle rods for the price of one set of pauters, damn.
eagles are great, i make 515whp on them. I know a guy right now making 640whp on them. They are just as good as all of the others in my serious opinion.
I had so called "beagles" in my setup for about 8 months daily beaten but taken care of and put down 339 heat soaked. I love eagles excellent price, definetly worth the money and its all about the installation.
i have eagle rods in my 500hp motor they are good rods. i will be change them for the 2006 racing season because i just want piece of mind when i start putting alot more power down, im goin to go with manleys

ive had my 500 plus for 6 months and had 400+ for about 3 or 4 months before that, and this is a daily driven, beat the **** out of, hauled to the track for events all the time car. all these people are saying they are going to switch for a false piece of mind.
im only planning on running 380-420whp on a built h22 i was looking at some pauters but the price is a killer.you guys think that the eagles will hold up good to that power level taking it to about 8000 rpm. its a daily driver so im looking to get some reliability,380whp is gona be on hi boost low boost is gona be about 280-290whp.thanks guys

We had eagle tell us the B series were good to 1000hp , had customers a rod bolt(weak bolt, really it was a bad bolt) break at 34 lbs and 10K rpms.
If you want more than 500hp spend the money on the pauters

We didn't plan on taking the car that high, damn thing just kept on making power. I wanted to stop at 9K and 28 lbs. Its the customers car not mine. it'll be fixed and then maybe i can show some dyno sheets :0
i talked to one of the guys down here in tampa he said with a good tune i would only take them to about 350whp on a daily driver and he said dont rev them past 9000 rpm,im going with the pauters because later on down the road i might wanna turn up the boost with some race gas i just wana sleep good at night.thanks for all ur replies
For 90% of the people on this board, Eagles are pretty much indestructible. A bolt will fail before the rod will fold. (provided the tune is good)
I have seen them take almost 700 whp.
