Re: E85+Turbo Mpg's
I saw almost 30-31mpg with the AFR leaned out to about 15.0-15.3 low load on the highway using E85, ran fine all the way to about 15.7 without any misfire's or hiccups running RC1000's. I would imagine the ID1000's would run 15.5 and leaner without running rough.

Re: E85+Turbo Mpg's
I'm assuming you mean gasoline equivalent to 15.x, since E85 stoich is like 9.x?
I'm going to experiment with the same thing once I wire wideband into my Hondata and setup closed loop to hover around 15.5 (equivalent) or so.

Re: E85+Turbo Mpg's
It doesnt matter what the stoich is of the fuel, most widebands automatically convert the stioch of the particular fuel its reading to gas AFR.... alot of people get hung up over that.

It can get confusing without clarification sometimes.
Anyway Im glad you posted your results about lean crusing on E85. Do you tune yourself? What did you do with the ignition timing at cruise?
I'd like to try it and find the answer to this topic to be more like your results than mine.

30-31? thats almost unheard of lol...
On my old 880's my best was 28mpg going on a 3hr road trip back and forth.. and that was amazing lol
My new FIC 1100's are in the 23-24 range but with more full throttle added in..i can cruise at 17.9 AFR's with them and it does not miss! crazy

Re: E85+Turbo Mpg's
My CR was around 8.2:1 so that might of helped some
Car was tuned by Jeff Evans, and I ran his timing tables but leaned them out from where he had them in the low load area's

Re: E85+Turbo Mpg's
I know my results were without boosting the car hard, just constant highway cruising with some boost in 5th just playing around passing people. At 75-80mph my car would hit 10-15psi in 5th almost instantly so it was kind of hard to not boost it at all.

Not turbo, but with my stock jdm gsr and jrsc. I was averaging 23-27mpg normal driving and highway. when I would do the 2 hour trip to see my girl my best was averaging about 32 mpg. that's cruising at about 70-75mph most of the time. Also on RC 550s.
