Re: E85 stations across the USA

How long can E85 sit before it goes bad? I mean some cars are just strictly track cars and never really get ran except when it comes time to race.

Just looking into the future to see if I can get away with using it and not worrying about running the tank dry.

ive stored it for 2-3 months in the back of my car covered up or in my friends garage on the shelf. I usually wrap it up in towels and shit and i havn't had a problem. I long for the day my garage is done.

Awesome glad to hear that, E85 is probably going to be my choice of race gas then!!

If I may ask, what does your fuel setup consist of?

Anyone notice the price of E85 going up considerably in their area?

I've noticed quite a considerable change in price. In June I finished my build and had it tuned on E85 at $1.99 a gallon! Now, I've noticed the local pricing on E85 is $2.68 a gallon.

Re: E85 stations across the USA

$3.55 for E85
$3.15 for 87
$3.45 for 93

It's a tarp!

what's so special about E85?

boosted920 07-24-2011 04:05 PM

Re: E85 stations across the USA

^^^^

its 105 (ish) octane and is cheaper than 93 octane

Re: E85 stations across the USA

E85 is also 107 oct and runns cooler... so when you have forced injection or higher compression you can go faster... E85 uses more PPM over Gas so you u get less mpg but you can make more power so its a trade off

Re: E85 stations across the USA

If anyone has Android, try out the 'KeenDriver' app. I have mine filtered to pull up all E85 stations in my area using maps and GPS. Pretty cool app I'd say and makes it easy finding E85 stations.
