Nice # for the LS. I see that you have two breather ports on the valve cover going to a catch can. Did you just un-hook the pcv valve and the black box? Then plug the hole where the black box was with a freezer plug?

I unhooked the pcv and tried to vent as much as possible. Back of block did not have black box, I think the older motors had em. I just used the back of the block for the return from the bottom of the can.

I see. Ya my motor is a 1994 LS. I think the obd 1 motors have the black box in the rear of the block. I'm going to run that same setup but without the drain back. Hopefully the can doesn't fill up too quickly. Goodluck with the setup, and post up your times when you hit the track.

What was the injector duty cycle #'s with E85?Just wondering how much inj. would be left because I am thinking of tuning on E85 w/aGSR and SC44.
Excellent job on a simple yet effective setup and good tune Best thing is a few minor mods are going to really bring those #'s up.

1000cc injectors and walbro pump will be good for 450-500whp on E85

going to need 1600's for much over 500whp, doesn't matter what pump you have if the injectors are maxed and pressure is holding.

400ftlbs.

Now if u put a vtec head on that thing, do u think it would still hold the 400ftlbs?

Or would it fall off?

Nice setup. Can anyone say "traction control?"

Makes me wish that I lived in Texas so I could give Tony all my hard earned cash to make my ride haul a$$.

Did I miss something here??

How well does the walbro pump hold up to e85?

More than likely torque would fall slightly, but hp would go up quite a bit, and it would be faster car. Running 27lbs of boost is what makes all the torque, and the fact that it runs out of breath up top is why the hp number is low compared to a vtec motor at that boost level.

Tony, I'm going to have to call BS on this one. No way when you had a vtec head will this make even close to 400ft lbs. 27psi on this turbo is going to be maybe 450whp with a vtec head. Figure that comes around 7500rpm before the torque starts dropping off, you are talking about 315wtq peak. As for it being faster, again, thats not necessarily true. We all know torque=acceleration and hp=top speed. If he revved to 7200rpm I'd have to go out on a limb and say this car would crush the same setup with a vtec head due to a significant increase in overall available torque. And also assuming traction is more or less a non-issue.
