Default e-manage problems please help!

just got the turbo and everything else installed. greddy sohc kit with fmic and emanage on a d15b7. when the car is running is the interactive light suppose to flash? the active light stays orange unless the rpms are above 1000 then it turns green? is that alright?

my car isnt running right either. i turn the car to "on" so the emanage can go into check mode, and there are no error codes blinking. but my car hesitates and stumbles bad on take off. its also shooting black soot out the exhaust. and it has a very slight erratic idle. please help i have no idea what it is?? i know this kit is for the z6 but is there any wire on the emanage i shouldnt of hooked up maybe? i dont know....

also, this is my first turbo but i was wondering...at idle is the bov suppose to be open and then close when given gas? its got a nasty rattle to it at idle.

Basically you are running pig rich. Any more than that, I can't tell you.

Are you running the basic "hack" eManage, or the Uber-cool eManage with ignition and fuel harnesses, etc?

You are using big injectors, right? Have you adequately reduced the MAP input to adjust for this?

no im not running big injectors. just the greddy turbo kit and fmic, bov. the greddy kit is complete bolt on and ready to go. doesnt come with injectors and the fuel maps are set from the factory for the sohc. thats why i dont get this.

please help i know im not the only person on here with emanage or a sohc greddy kit on a d15b7...

im guessing im having problems because the emanage is pretuned for the d16z6 and im using it on a d15b7. so maybe i have to change the settings on the front?? what do i change them to i dont understand it really, i thought this would just bolt on and go, guess not...i know someone on here has to have a greddy 15g turbo kit on a d15b7.

Haha... I had a hell of a time with my emanage when I installed it on my d15b7 I dont think they like the B7 ecu. I didnt have a problem with it not running though and running to rich. My problem was the emanage was working then would throw a code and not work. We did a wideband o2 on it and it was leaning out at about 4 grand and even when we played with the ***** on the end we still didnt get it to fix it you could tell the emanage was working somewhat because it would get pig rich when we turned it up at low rpms and would come close to dieing and read like 11:1 but still at 4 grand it would lean out. So after playing around with the emanage for a week I decided to junk it and go with a Apexi SAFC and missing link....well it seemed to fix it but I was then popping map codes still even with a brand new missing link. So puzzled as hell we threw on a 93 ls ecu and it ran fine no codes....and thats how I am running now.
