Default dynoed today with new set-up 400whp air/water w/pics

dyno was 400whp and 259 torque on stock gsr bottom end and pump gas. this is not a conservative tune at all.

set-up is
sc61
ram horn style manifold
3 inch full exhaust
3 inch intercooler piping
air to water intercooler
jg manifold
64mm jg tb

Nice but why a air-water intercooler? Is this a race car only?

I've run water to air's on street cars and with an adequate pump and coolant resevoir they keep IAT's consistently low just as well as an air/water.

Ice or tap water in the cooler?

boost was at 18psi, air to water was because i wanted to see how well it worked. hondata tuned by me. resivoir is about 4 gall. holly blue fuel pump for the water pump and -12an lines. system holds alot of water as well, the core i used is from a volkswagen beetle 1.8t and i made all the tanks out of 1/8inch sheet alum. seems to hold its own- shop temp was 50 and air temps at 18psi were low 80s when fully iced and intake manifold heat soaked. we will see how well the motor holds at san antonio for the race.

too dark here to take some nice pics but i will post some up later tomorrow.

a pic of the a/w before i finished it. the metal i used was from a scrap yard and had alot of holes in it that is why there are random welds on the intercooler.

i made all the tanks as well as welded them. it was my first thing to fabricate and i am still learning to weld. but constructive critisism is welcome.

some more pics

He said it wasnt a conservative tune so I dont think reliablility is really bothering this guy. It did makes some good power on a compete stock engine
