Dyno'd my b16 today.
Please don't kick my *** for the big picture. The results were pretty good. Not as well as I expected (I bet you always expect more then what you get ). I found out the car is running pretty damn rich due to the ****** shitting flames hehe but I guess a little rich isn't too bad
Next time I bring er to get tuned I'll probably have vtec kick in ~300ish rpm's later so it'll be one smooth line instead of that dip. Hoping for ~275 with about 5 more pounds of boost and a 3" turbo back :RK
Forgot to add its on a stock block with gsr cams running 7psi (t3/t4) and a video of all 3 pulls soon to come once my buddy finds his usb cord to his vid cam

well wtf is the setup?
EDIT: yeah, you should be making more. I made like 240wheel @ 7 psi on an sc34.

what do u have VTEC activating at right now? looks like u might need to raise VTEC instead of lowering it. also where is ur wastegate placement and where is the dumptube running?

hmm you should making more power then that
at 5psi i was making 210hp/134tq (with busted ringlands ) but the dyno i used tends to read lower by 10hp/10tq

Yeah that power does seem pretty low, if its super rich that may be the cause for a little of it, but still thats damn low, i was making more power on my 18g at the same boost level. Possibly clock the turbo and check if the BOV is leaking, IC piping and exhaust leaks. Either that or your motor has weak rings??? At that same boost level you should be making aroud 230-270whp.
What were your AFR's.
As for the VTEC i had the same problem, i set it at like 5200ish and i had the same dip, i set it back to stock and it feels 10 times better.

Nah tuner is Dave Blundell in cinci. I know he made it pretty conservative. You're right about making the vtec engagement higher instead of lower. But I would say if we/he leaned it out a little more it would be alot better. But as it stands I'm not gonna cry about it. The turbo is practially brand new, no shaft play and spins freely. Here's a pic to show the WG and dump tube placement. The mesh filter **** isn't there any more instead its a K&N Filter, heh maybe thats restricting the flow o.0
On the first run the people thought that a pull to 7600 would suffice heh. They learned it didn't pretty quick haha. The shop where the dyno is located back here in columbus and deals more with domestics then imports too.
Also, I'm not going to sweat it a whole bunch the car has 104k miles on it and I'll probably be shipping out this LS block I have layin around to benson/earl to get it built. Then the real power will commence.

Dont be so fast to blame the tuner. I know Blundar knows his **** and has tuned plenty of cars. If the car is making such low power then I am willing to bet something is wrong with the setup and not the tune. It doesn't matter how good the tune is if there is a flaw in the setup causing it to lose power.

But any way I think I may have narrowed the problem down with my car. I think its Ignition. If you look at the dyno its not exactly reading on every pull. The one pull that did 201whp it read the whole time. I think the Ignition is still stock and just running the NGK plugs that are 2 steps colder. So I think it'll help if I get new plugs, rotor, and cap. What you all think?
