Default Dyno, please post your oppinion

Hallo,

we went to the dyno with one of our cars a few days ago and i'am a bit confused about the numbers - seems a bit low for me...

car is tuned @ 14psi
please take a look at the datalog and the dyno sheet... setup is the following:

Stock B16A2 with thicker headgasket CR: 8,2:1
2" Charge Pipe
3" Exhaust but because of the 5bolt discharge we had to go the first 4-5cm of the chargepipe with 2,25" tube.
GT28RS Turbocharger internal wasegate
550ccm injectors
inline fuel pump
no cat

maximum advance at full boost is between: 9-12° depending on rpm (conservative tune) fuel is 93 Octane

spark plugs are 0,8mm gapped BKR7EN-11

Datalog:

Dyno (14psi):

Hope to get some oppinions or maybe ideas because of the low power output.

Thanks
Malte.

it's not horrible but i expectet a bit more... maybe something in the 270-280 WHP range and whats a bit confusing me is that the usable rpm range is only from 6k-7k
the thing doesn't make real power before vtec kicks in.

and whats also confusing is the rapid torque falloff after 7k ... seems as if i left off the throttle to early but i can't remember that realy and its also on all 4 dyno runs we made... so it must come from the car but why?!

The timing numbers you gave seem a little on the low side even for a "safe" tune.

What do you think i should run? i made two runs with 12.25-14.75° and noticed no power gains so i though hitting MBTT but you are right... i was also confused of the low values... but i don't want to risk anything... especialy it was allready 3:00AM and i wanted to go to bed ;-)

With that compression you can do more timing mate...17+.
My timing is 20 @ 14psi , but i run with 98octane. That with a stock JDM B16A1 (so compression is 10.2).
EGT is still low w/ that timing.

i dont think the numbers are half bad.. especially considering the compression, try tuning again and see the difference a lil more boost and race gas will net u.. im sure you'll be satisfied good job though

Dont forget to give those cams more timing! You should be easily over 300

so true, ive seen a 30+whp range increase on boosted cars. b16 stock vs CTR or ITR

your static compression is real low, the 28rs isnt exactly a big turbo either. it looks like you are either loosing boost or need to add timing above 7k. your a/f looks perfect

sounds ok for the compression and timing, my 83mm b16 was 9-1compression and had more timing and made 300. so your ok, just push it harder. you will be fine

with that low compression ratio i would run a good 17-18* timing. 9-12* is way too low.
also it looks like u could set VTEC to like 4800 rpms
