I am not sure if the LX has the same motor, but my CX has a D16Y7. Its ratings are Horsepower @ rpm 106 @ 6200. I am wondering if my stock motor (D16y7) SC'd would be all around faster or slower than a N/A B18B LS swap. Sorry for any confusion.

If you're deciding between the two, then I'd go for the LS motor due to the fact that is has a lot more potential for power, but I think the Y7 supercharged might be a bit quicker than the LS depending upon chassis/suspension/rubber/etc.

Well the only mods I would be putting on the 2 setups would be I/H/E or H/E and the LS would remain stock other than those mods. It's a trade off, either I get an LS swap with basic bolt ons or I supercharge my D series w/ the same boltons. What I want to know is which would be faster.

I thought turboing a car was not smog legal? Plus I think SC's sound better, and are easier on the engine, and the SC goes for around the same price as a B18B... So I figured I couldn't lose.

Greddy is smog legal...boost is boost, both kits can be very reliable, my nieghboor with the d16y7 first the had the JRSC then ended up selling it for the greddy kit..
