Default DSM install... Do i need to modify rubber ring at bottom?

Gonna install some dsm and was wondering if i have to buy a different rubber boot for the bottom. I saw something about getting a different one because of height differences and enlarging the hole...Do i have to do this?

dremel them out a bit. or you can try and shove them in there but its pretty tight.

The big dremel sanding drum is actually the perfect size. Just leave the o-ring in the manifold and dremel them out, it makes it easier.

Good idea, but, not a good idea if the manifold is on the car... I use the top part of a 2 litter soda bottle, also the perfect size :D

will i have to get different ones or can i use the one on it if they are in good shape? Is the height on them right or will they let the tip sit too low in intake runner?

This is how i did it, i put the injectors in the holes just squeezed them in halfway as far as i could get them, put the fuel rail on top of the injectors and put the nuts on teh fuel rail, tightened it until it was tight and when i tightened teh fuel rail nuts it seated the injectors in perfectly. I didnt dremel the seals, waste of time.

homemadeturbo.com
click on "tech projects", they go over the dsm injector install in detail there. It should tell you what you need.

I used the stock honda orings. Just find somthing to mount the ring on outside of the car, and take a sanding drum and just lightly take some rubber off, just keep going back and forth from the manifold and sanding until you have just the right fit. You should be able to do it so the slide in w/just a little bit of force.

I just found a piece of circular rod that was the right diameter to mount the
o-rings on then put it in a vice and went to town w/a dremel.

Sanding them in the intake manifold would work, but make sure its not on the car when you are doing this.
