DSM injectors + seals
Refer to this link

ok, so where can I get that green seal that the boy's used I wonder? Maybe if I just go to NAPA they can match them up for me.
I'm can use my oem honda seals of course, but what about the depth that they sit down into the fuel rail at? With the honda seals it seems the dsm injectors site down a little further, does this effect the spray patter? Or should I try to find a seal that sits it at about stock height?

Re: DSM injectors + seals (Hybrid)
Go to napa and ask for 4 injector seal kits for a 95 integra ls. Thats what I did. The green ones are taller and will give the proper height, the seal kit will come with both the black and the taller green.

Re: DSM injectors + seals (Hybrid)
I GOT THIS OF SOMEONES POST VERY GOOD STUFF
[QUOTE]We all know using DSM 450cc injectors is a cost effective alternative to RC injectors. However, most people have problems installing them due to the the larger physical size of the DSM injectors. Some choose to bore out the stock bottom seals and some choose to the force fit method. Some say the injectors should sit flush to the seal, and some say it shouldn't. Well, I'm hoping the information that I'm about to share will help a little. Certain information may or may not apply to your setup type but I'm sure you'll get the idea.
1. Injectors seals: Napa sells an injector seal kit that contains seals for Civics and Integras. Because I have a Civic, the taller Integra seal works out perfect for me! If you don't need the complete seal kit, just go to Acura and buy only the bottom seal, or try to find some taller seals that have the same outside dia.
2. Bore out the bottom seals: I find it much easier to bore out the seals with a Dremel and do it in the manifold. I simply use a stock manifold that I have sitting around and use it to hold the seals. It only takes seconds to bore each seal!
3. Finished product: If done properly (which is extremely easy), it will look like stock.
4. Injector tip protruding distance: This is the good part. With the properly selected bottom seals, the injector tip protruding distance in the manifold can be the same as stock and still allows the injectors to sit flush on the seals! Btw, the injectors should go on the seals with slight friction.
Stock injectors with seal.
DSM injectors with taller seal.
5. Installed DSM injectors: The injectors fit very nicely in the JRSC intake manifold with the taller seals.
Here's a closeup, nice and flush!

Re: DSM injectors + seals (Cramerox)
I just installed some 450's with the napa seals, pist me off that it cost $36 for the seals tho. The green seals were still kind of hard to get in. SO i stuck them on a dremel sanding drum, then spun it against some sand paper and it fit perfect

Re: DSM injectors + seals (Hybrid)
You have to buy the whole kit. And $8 isn't too bad for the kit when you consider the grommets from Honda cost about the same.

Re: DSM injectors + seals (Hybrid)
I bought some injector seals online because I didn't want to buy the entire NAPA kit. They were $3.27 each + shipping, but don't seem as high as the green seals. Keep in mind that there are different kinds of DSM injectors. The ones I have are shorter and have the blue tops, so I don't know if the green seals will give the proper depth as the pictures above show. Would someone be willing to measure the height of the NAPA green seals, and I will measure the Honda ones I have. Since I have the Greddy kit and my stock 99 Si injectors are not being used anyway, I was able to put them beside the DSMs that I have and I think the seals I got might give me the proper depth. I'll measure them later and post the height in millimeters.

Re: DSM injectors + seals (Hybrid)
I have some extra honda seals kicking around. So what I'm going to do it cut up several seals to use as "spacers" ontop of the manifold seal. This will make up for the shortness of the stock honda injector seal and save me the 36USD from buying NAPA seals.

Re: DSM injectors + seals (omahaturbocivic)
Isn't it possible just to bore out the stock injector seals, or are those too small for the dsm injectors?
edit: spelling

Re: DSM injectors + seals (B18EG6)
if im following this correctly, it looks as if the dsm injectors in stock bored honda seals will sit too low in the manifold
