Default dry ice on intercooler

i heard it from a friend so is it ok to put dry ice on your intercooler to cool down the air or will that cause some problems

yea just don't let the turbo suck that up.... there is no oxygen there.

so i can put it straight on the intercooler?

also this will not leave any mineral deposits on the intercooler right?

It will not leave any deposits as dry ice only consists of carbon and oxygen. Why not just setup an water spraying setup using your windshield squirters? It's extremely easy and would help alleviate some of the heat.

well this question isnt for me its for my friend who owns a 07 sti so i was just wondering i asked it here cuz i know honda-tech members are really smart and the new 07 have a ic sprayer already so i was just wondering

awsome idea, how can we hold it on there ? duct tape ? i want to duct tape dry ice all over my car, to make it cooler !!! my car isnt cool enough already, a little ice, should get me some hunnies

comon you know what i mean that gas it emits is CO2 and if that enters his intake air stream hes gonna stall.
