yeah, stay out of boost.. if you have a boost controller just unhook it and run just the wastegate.. drove 8hrs to get mines tuned..

Have you driven it at all? Is everything installed right? Who loaded the basemap and where did they get it from? If everything is installed correctly and you have taken the car out around town and it drives good then you should make it. I just woiuldnt set out on a 6+ hour drive not knowing if the car would even make it. lol

I would be leary of driving the car untuned, and I would strongly recommend against driving the car blind (no gauges).

What if you get into a situation requires full throttle? Can you look and plan far enough ahead to avoid this situation? Can you stay focused enough for the entire trip? I'm not saying it's impossible. Can you make the whole trip without using cruise? You shouldn't go up a hill and try to maintain speed. That will put enough load on the engine to spool the turbo.

It's all around just a bad idea really. Yes it might make it there and back but I wouldn't risk it myself. Only thing I can say is if your going to do it put your stock injectors and ecu in the car plus take your bov off so the car won't produce boost.

no, 2 cars running the same equipment wont use the same tune. every motor is different.
you need a tune for your car.

I mean, it would be better than driving around on a basemap, but its still not optimal/the best idea. Youd be better off saving that money for a real tune

I drove on 6&7 psi untuned for like a year on my old civic really had no problems just rule cut at the top of my power band until I got 255and fulepress regulator so I don't see why not just keep the boost low.

psi doesnt matter. its the power levels and ignition advance thats the issue.

running 7psi on a shitty t25 vs. 7psi on a gt4202r is not the same thing.

he needs a tune.

it sounds like you prety much have everything decently covered... what are you using for engine management?

also, do you know what kind of turbo it is exactly? If you can post the numbers off of the tag i can tell you

If you put the stock injectors back in and just be careful not to boost then you will be fine. I dont think it would make enough power to hurt anything man. Just drive it. All I was really worried about was something leaking like fuel or oil. If you have no leaks and doesnt overheat then you will be fine. Do you have a boost gauge? Please say yes! lol

if the ecu is already base mapped for the 550s or whatever the op said, then pluging in the stock injectors will make it run like **** and make it that much easier to lean out
