Default Drag Radials on a Boosted Car!?

Ok, I did some searching tonight. Couldnt really find much. What drag radials are you guys running on your Boosted setups? What size tires and rims? I have 16inch wheel's and BFG only makes 255/50/16 in drag radials. That is a fat tire. I may be getting a set of 15inch wheels. Lets see everyones drag radial setup...

Do you drive on them all the time? How much they run you?

No only track tires. Wouldn't recommend them for the street.

They are 175 per tire plus shipping. About 400.

Depending on your power, you may be better off with slicks. Are you looking for something to daily drive on or for the track?

I will be running 225/50-15 BFG's but I have to add +20mm fenders because of my brake kit spacers. With normal brakes the 225's should fit in the fenderwell really nice.

I'll post a pic later.

i am currently running bfgoodrich g-force sports, on my stock gsr wheels, 205/55/15.

i love em. very sticky tire, with good wet traction. and dont do too bad at the track either so far. they hop like a mother though when they are full with 35 psi.

25 or so, and they grab real nice

Nothing in 16's to daily drive on. BFG used to make drag radials in a 225/55 r16 but they don't anymore. Now they only have 255's.

The problem I have is that 15's don't clear my calipers so I have to shave them down to run slicks. What I would do is purchase a set of drag radials for your 15's to run daily on.

Sorry I couldn't help.

You may be able to find them cheaper but they do make them for a 15" rim.

NJslvrtypes - what brakes are you running?

I am using the SS Works kit with 4 piston Nissan Calipers and 300mm Mugen rotors.

I run 15" Rota slipstreams on 225/50/15 on a 95 integra on Tein S tech lowering springs. I rub on when I turn at max otherwise this was the best decision for power to the ground I ever did. Worth $200 a year to get 2 tires for the best traction

Same here, 225/50/15 bfg drag radials.

The sidewalls on the ADVAN's are really stiff. I got good results with the SS compound AO48 215/50-15's BUT the tires are really pricey and do not last very long. If you get ADVAN's get the "S" or "M" compound.

I did a quick search on Yahoo Auction Japan and found a few new sets of 225/45-16 A048's for $370~$400.

I have a fully loaded 95 Integra LS power everything moon roof etc etc. I got a 2.03 60ft on a hot day my first 5 times out. I bet I can get that down to a 1.9 now on these cooler days and more experience. I know some light *** EG's are getting 1.8's and I've even sene a 1.6 on these size DR's but you really gotta know how to drive. I launched off a 2 step at 5200 BTW. How that helps

You guys are forgeting, he said 16" rim. I think everyone knows what is available in 15's.

Nitto used to have the 205/45 16" 555R but was discontinued. That would be a popular tire if they would release it again.

They still make a 245/50/16 in the 555r that will still fit a 7inch rim in width.
