Default Drag Gen II for a d16y8

I'm going to be in the market for a turbo kit by the beginning of next year and i have been looking a both the greddy kit and the drag kit. The greddy kit seemed cheap but it dosen't come with a blow-off valve or intercooler and down here in Miami that could be a problem. Also i don't want to do this half-assed so i a leaning more towards the Drag kit. What i want to know is has anybody used this kit for that particular engine how did they like it. How much psi does it boost stock and are there any negatives about power delivery. Just anykind of feedback from those who actually had the kit or who still use it.

Thanks in advance

Is this something new because I have always seen that is didn't come with any blow off valve. The si and gsr (greddy) kits don't even come with one that is why i am asking. Also how do you do the wiring if the kit is for a 92-95 which is obd 1 and i have obd 2

b/c they push 5 psi of boost on a turbo the size of my fist... why the hell would you need a blow off valve for that?? Pushing such a small amount of boost you do not need an IC either... due to pressure drop you will be lucky to get 3 or 4psi of boost.

I had the Drag Gen II for my D16y8. I loved it. I was safely boosted for well over a year with it. I ran 14s on street tires w/ no traction, and the car was really fun to drive.

92-00 Civic SOHC
DRAG Gen 2 Turbo Kit
$2699.95 - 10% HT Discount = $2429.95

Greddy Turbo Kit
$1599.95 + $200.00 (BOV) + $675.00 (Intercooler) + $150.00 (Fuel Pump) = $2624.95

Which is the better option?

I was boosting 8.5 psi, and using the stock fuel components from the DRAG kit. allong with a VAFC for some fine adjustments.

Ben, what's the expected whp and torque from a DRAG kit on a D16 with 5-7psi and a good flowing exhaust? I think I know a few people interested in it.

The D16s average around 180-200whp at 7psi with the DRAG kit.

i have the greddy kit on my 97 ex, its nice and i got it alot cheaper than ben has it posted as and know where to get it cheaper than i got it at. if your gonna go turbo go w/ F-MAX thier kit is the most complete kit you can get, it comes w/ everything. injectors, ic, bov, fmu, msd retard unit, headgasket . everything. go check out trhier site and look at the numbers 235hp out of a stco d series!!! F-MAX.com
get a block guard then you'll be all set, then some internals and you will be happy. thats your option other than swapping, casue you can only get so far w/ that motor. i want to put my setup in a 2nd gen rex. damm that would fly. so check it out, gonna be a bit more but the intercooler is sweet, and nice manifold

I already had the Greddy PE exhaust...which I am still running for now....upgrading to thermal soon though.
and I did need to upgrade the clutch right away. I went with the clutch specialties stage III which was a little too stiff, I recomend the clutchnet stageII
