Downpipe question

i'm fairly new to turbos..and my question is , what is the recomended size for a downpipe? i'm running a t3 turbo on a dseries motor..whats the smaller diameter i could go..thanks in advance

recommend exhaust size: 3"+

With a turbo that small you can get away with a 2.5" but 3" is ideal for quicker
spool time!
