dont want to get scammed
about to meet up a guy to buy a p28 for dirt cheap, but he seems kinda shady. what all should i look for when buying it?
obviously, it should say p28 on the side what else...

70 dollars is cheap, but not dirt cheap, i would bring a good phillips head and crack open the case and check it out for bad soddering etc

just roll strapped, lol jk. i would do both of what were recommended, one crack it open and look for anything not factory, 2 plug it into your car and see what it does

That's stupid!!! Nah, j/k That's a really good idea, you can tell pretty easily if something has been burnt by the way it smells, it seems like capacitors often go bad in electronics. Take a quick look at the circuitry to see if there are any indications of burnt resistors, mis-shaped capacitors and burn marks in general. And yes, it does help to bring a friend or two along. I woulnd't be to apprehensive as you are going to buy a $70 ecu, not a $1500 engine or a $500 turbo. GL.
