Default Dont Buy From CCFAB

the whole thing is basically a scam, i sent josh my money over 2 months ago and for the first month it was all unfullfilled promises, and then he broke contact with me, i sent him 285$ and a tubular manifold for a D16 to make a downpipe and oil lines, and still havent heard anything about it arriving. he doesnt respond to IM, E-mails, or PM's and i am going to take some kind of legal action. and ive talked to PLENTY of other people who are in(or were in) the same boat as me.

just wanted to put it out there for you guys in case some of you decide to send him money to get something made.

now i have a full turbo kit for my car, and all i need are the parts he was supposed to make me. this SUCKS. and 285$ might not seem like alot to some of you but im only 17 and 80% of the money i make at work goes to paying for my insurance and car.

#1 rule for turbocharging your car - always have double the cash in hand that you think you'll budget for expenses.

Anyways, I'm suprised you didn't do research earlier. If nothing else, HT should have taught you that a deal that's almost too good to be true usually is. There's many references to ccfab/hotrex and how he takes other people's money and blows it on fat hookers. He's banned from HMT, and that's not very easy to do.

The easiest way to not get stiffed on a manifold is to only buy from people that have them in stock, or to only give them 10% down payment for it, then the rest when you have proof that its done.

expletive that rule number one ****. Even if you have triple the money it is going to cost you, NO ONE wants to get jacked. I pitched a fit on ebay over 50 bucks for a receiver. the receiver I had was great, but not the one i ordered. it was the principle.

Anyway I remember hotrex jacking people like three years ago when I frequented HMT.

Hindsights 20/20 but I wouldnt buy manifolds that i had to send to someone to get **** fabbed up. i almost got jacked on here when I was looking at turbos. The ONLY reason I didnt send the guy the money is because he asked em to send him a post dated check I dont even pay bills with post dated checks, let alone write a check to some random dude I never met in person.

Hope everything works out for you man

well it is tough. After that guy asked me to send him a post dated check, I said expletive that. Found a used greddy kit on here for a great price. Guy offers to send it COD. Well I didnt know you cant open **** BEFORE you pay for it. For all I knew it would be full of rocks. But anyway I got my ****. It worked fantastic.

Couple months later I read page after page on the guy about how buyers werent getting stuff they bought from him. These were transactions before and after mine. I chimed in that I spent over 1500 with him and received my **** within a week and was fully satisfied. Maybe they pull names out of hat to see who gets their stuff. Who knows. IF you dont get your stuff back, all you can do is learn from it.

ALOT of people see this huge market and try to run their own businesses which usually fail. I already had a good knowledge of this when the 240sx scene boomed. I had mine before it got big. So any blow joe would open a "shop" and sell SR20's and other engines, but couldnt meet the demand. Yet they had all this money and used it on exspenses, so they couldnt refund people.

ok thanks for the help.

he told me he was finished with the dp 3 weeks ago and was just working on the oil lines at the time, so idk why he told me it was done if hes still waiting on the flange? did he mention anything about the lines?

He's know for scamming almost as much as 'blowing smoke up your ***'. In the past he just didn't waste time making up stories, he just became unavailable. Ask for daily updates *and* pictures, or for him to drop what he's doing and return 100% of the money before the end of the hour.

How does it go? "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me?"

As a witness to the hotrex madness since day one, he's still blowing smoke up your ***, goldhatch94 is blind as a bat (much like I told Corey before he had to find out for himself), and last of all, he's not swamped doing ****. Everyone except Tunershark knows not to buy anything from him, and with his attempt at offering anything close to functional oil lines one could assume that manifolds aren't really keeping him busy at all.

I hear all the underwater welders are itching for a spot on the "4am fix your downpipe at your place" position. Sounds important, like he has a good reason to screw someone out of their manifold, their money, and their time.

I remember when Corey was Josh's new best friend, except he wasn't as fun of a spokeshole for Josh as you. Entertainment.

ccfab took forever to get my brothers d16 manifold to him. he kept saying it would be out first thing on monday..blah blah blah and then later he would post up pics on how my brothers collector looked soooo good. 2 months down the line we get the manifold. and his welds look like total ****. runners were misaligned and one was so bad that you couldn't get the nut on the manifold. so my brother sold the manifold because he wants a better quality one.

I love how everytime something happens with CCfab there is always some Noob advocate of Josh's reform in life. Never fails that some HUGE fan from CT will be in the thread in full support of Josh with excuses flowing like pigs blood.

The dude scams people, waits a couple months for things to die down, then gets some noobs to spread the word he is reformed, then he scams some more folks, then lies low, etc. Its a revolving cycle.

Everyone says how affordable his manifolds are...yeah, because he's making 2-3 times the money on one manifold. He sells one manifold three times at 400 bucks and only ends up sending a mani to one of the buyers....he's getting Full Race income!

You guys are a bunch of dumbf*cks that continuously buy from him. Hell, buy SSautochrome...at least they send the sh*t.

OMFG I can not stop laughing at CCFAB's manifold in that link posted above. Its AMAZING, let me say that again, AMAZING that anyone would be stupid enough to give that guy your money after seeing that link. I can not believe how terrible he is at making manifolds. Why the hell would you send that out with the possibility that others will see your work. Anyhow every thread I see about that guy he has a beer in his hand. He is a POS alcoholic and is probably drunk every manifold he makes. What a ******* joke.

OP I am sorry your going through this. I personally would have paid the extra money and get something worth a expletive. PLEASE post pictures of it when you get it.

Well... the first one in the link was a "prototype" of sorts. He obviously doesn't make them that shitty anymore. But I still post it because the fact that he had the nerve to send it to me shows how shitty of a person he really is. Also, he kept talking about how "he was almost done making it" and then he shipped me some old prototype or something that was obviously not "just made."

So basically, I post that not to show what you'll be getting, but rather to demonstrate what a douchebag Josh is. Okay product, douchebag fabricator.
