Default does boost affect spooling?

i was curious if anyone here boost or boosted low (1, 2 ,3+) on their daily drivers. i commute alot so i got an electroniz boost controller for the purpose of lowering the boost pressure as well as turnin it up to race.

i was just wonderin if boostin low affects the spool "noise". has anyone experienced a low spool noise when they boost low? i like the hhiiIIIISSSSSSSSSSS noise when i hit the gas. i was wonderin f it still boosted pretty loud at full throttle on low boost, for example 3lbs.

3 psi??? you can turn your boost down that low with a boost controller?.......which one do you have, and what spring wastegate are you using?

You wasted your money then... you cannot boost lower than the spring in your wastegate.

so why is it that i cant boost lower than my spring? i got a 7lb spring. when you install the boost controller and you connect the vacuum to the wastegate... do you have to turn the spring all the way down? or do you turn it up?

the thing is... i dont see why i cant boost lower than 7lbs. my cousin boost 3lbs on his delta wastegate for daily driving. then raises it to 5-6 when he races. i just keep it at 5, but i turn it up to 6-7 when i race. whats the problem with doin that on an electronic controller?

by the way, i got a profec B on the way.

Then your cousin has a lower pressure wastegate spring. It also depends on where your wastegate is reading pressure from. If is is using the manifold (recommended for no EBC) then you will always boost exactly what the spring in the wastegate is rated. If it is hooked up to the compressor or somewhere before the intercooler, you will boost less because of pressure drop across the IC and piping.

Ok, stupid question....why do you not want the wastegate over the maniford if you are using an electronic boost controller? Do you always, say hook it up to the compressor if you are using an EBC?
