Default Do standalone ECU's "learn"

Just wondering if aftermarket ECU's learn? What I mean by this is, any time you make changes to you car, an OEM ecu will eventually learn the changes ( or you would pull the power for a few seconds and to reset it)

Does a standalone do the samething or is it purely manually porgrammed?

The standalones that i have tuned with including DFI, Haltech and somewhat with FAST dont. They strickly read the maps that you create, and dont learn the characteristics of your engine like the stock honda computer.

i believe that the only learning it does is the wideband option, it corrects the fuel itself if its running rich or lean. other than that, everything else u have to set up yourself. but once u dialed in everything, there shouldnt be a problem because theres no need for the ecu to learn itself, everything should run smooth.

anyone else?
