do i need another o2 bung for wideband, or do i use the original one?
When I go to tune my turbo gsr, the tuner is going to have a wideband o2 that he's going to use on my car. Do I leave the stock o2 in, and get a 2nd bung for the wideband o2, or do I pull the original one out and put the wideband in there? I need to know asap because I'm ordering a straight pipe and need to know how many o2 bungs I need.
The original one is fine for a spot, but make SURE that the stock one can come out easily. 3 times I've had to cancel tuning because the owners didn't check to make sure the 02 sensor easily comes out. If it's old and rusted shut you may have to use a torch to heat up the bung and use PB blaster as well.
ok, i'll loosen it before taking it down for tuning. but you're 100% sure i won't need both in at the same time, right?
Nope. If your tuner decides to use closed loop after the tune then you'll need it plugged in afterwards, but otherwise you don't need it at all if you tuner is good

we set most of ours up after tune in open loop. but as stated, if your tuner uses closed loop, you do need 2 bungs. we put a second one in anyway, so it is there.
