How hard is this? I mean do you have to be an electrical engineer or can the average mechanic that can solder wires and such do this?

does anyone know what car this is SPECIFICALLY from?

also, what honda/acura cars had resistor boxes?

It's from an 88-91 Civic/CRX or a 90-91 Integra. It's $74 new from http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.net.

You can find resistor boxes on 95 and earlier Preludes and 91 and earlier Civic/CRX/Integras.

How much can you sell me the clips for? anyone have a picture of clips needed to put the RC 550cc injectors into a 98+ teg?

I can sell you clips for $25 shipped. They look just like the ones in the pic I emailed you. There's about 3 inches of the OEM wiring harness still attached to each clip. It makes the install very easy.

So all crx boxes don't have heat sinks or just 1g?

Just 1g's as far as I know. Both my 2g's have heatsinks.

Hey im sorry to make you turbo guys repeat this again or give the same link out again.. I did a search but came up with nothin...

I remembered awhile back there was a link to a page where there was a in depth description of how saturated and peak and hold injectors work as well as what the function of resistor packs in saturated(am i correct or was it peak and hold...not good with injectors info) injector setups. So if someone has it can they post it up or explain how saturated and peak and hold setups work. Blah, read that page twice, still havent absorbed it all. This time should clear up all my confusion

Thx a lot! ... im just another newb trying to master turbo setups

the 10ohm 10 watt resistors work great i just did them

i went to radio shack and the guy said they didn't exist so i had to slap him lol then i went to a different radio shack and got them
1.67 for a pack of 2
exactly, how the hell did they start working there in the first place? damn, all they know about is tv's and cellphones!!! had to go back to their site, look up part number and went back and give them the number myself. and guess what? that part that "did not" exist, magically appeared on their shelves. freaking idiots.

btw, i heard that using "low" quality resistors can actually cause damage. ever hear about this? i wanna take the inexpensive way too and there's less wiring but i'm not sure after i heard this. i'm in la and there are a bunch junkyard around my area so i'm thinking about parting one out but that's alot of hassle. hmm, any suggestions?

daym it! i was looking all over the junkyard and actually pulled off one of these. i thought it was the wrong one, thinking that all resistor boxes are heat shrinked! . i saw plenty of this.....it's all good tho cuz i got a set of DSM 450cc for only $23.75

Damn, and I thought I was cheap. I spent less on my whole setup than some of you spend on just a turbo. But at least I shelled out 20 bones to not have hot resistors sticking out all over under the hood... geez guys. Come on.

okay, i picked up 3 resistor boxes from the junkyard today. will it work? how can i test it? these are cars where it came out of:
-86 prelude
-86 CRX
-87 integra
none are heatsinked. it has 5 wires (4 black, 1 red). it all looked the same just like in the picture that integra-modder attached.

....well, duh let me answer myself. use a multi-meter and dial it to read ohms . i just did it and it reads 6 ohms! it should work then. peace

actually, the ones form those three cars, and mines, are heat sinked.

If you take the resistors themselves out, you will see how big they are. The ceramic part of the resistor is increased in size so it can have contact with more metal and transfer more heat energy.

This is why if you goto radio shack and get a resistor its about 1/4" x 1/4"

i have 3 of these resistor boxes and it came of:

-87 integra
i'm willing to give away 2 if you provide shipping and give me the correct instruction on how to wire it. all the intructions on the site so far states that black/yellow wire on the injectors connects to the black wire on the resistor box. well, i have the 1G injectors (B450L INP-009) and it only has one injector with a black/yellow wire. i've read other posts where it should'nt matter but i'm a little skeptic about it. hit me up if you're interested
