Default Divided turbine, Open manifold....................

what are your thoughts on this. You have a divided turbine housing and an open designed manifold. Power loss over using an open turbine? Modify the divided turbine housing at all? If so would you knife it or just round the center divider?

I know the easy way out would be to order an open housing, lets say that option is not available.

i run my hx35 which is a twin scroll in a ramhorn eq pressure mani...works fine...although im in the process of designin a new mani to benefit from the twin scroll nature of the turbine....

I ran a divided flanged T70 w/ a InlinePRO SS T4 mani.

made 366whp 278ftlbs on 11psi on a 84mm LSvtec.... full boost was at 4800.

if you design the split merge collector and utilize the twin scroll design you can get as much as 500rpm better spool...

nice to know this. On my new setup I'll make 2 manifolds that are the same but with differnt collectors.. I'll compair the 2 and show what i find...

there isnt much info out there...but you just have to think your pairing the cylinders for better pulse seperation...and using it to hit the turbine wheel at its maximine efficent pt....so itll spool better...hence why a lot of t4's are divided housings...i plan on going from a ramhorn to a divided topmount setup very very soon
