Dissapointed!
Hey guys, I recently took my car to sleeper motorsports in sanbernadino california to have my revhard stage 2 kit put on my civic with a b18c1 in it. Anyways, after the install, they dynoed my car and I only put down 175whp and 135 tq
. I hope they did something wrong with the install because I didnt spend 3000 including electronics for ******* 175 whp. ANyways, Im running the fmu + inline setup with stock cat, and 2 1/4 exhaust piping. Any suggestions guys?? I am just pissed off right now because I see most people put down atleast 215 whp with the same setup as me!

.4 bar is only about 5 lbs of boost. im sure if it was at .5 bar you would see about a 15 whp difference and throw in a 2.5-3 inch exhuast and high flow car and thats another 10-15 whp.

So is there something wrong, I have the deltagate wastegate that is supposed to run 7psi out of the box. I wonder why its running 5 pounds??
I knew the exhaust and the cat would hurt, but not this much
get rid of the cat...... bigger injectors..... boost controller.....
u boost guage only says .4 bar because u are only running about 5-6 psi.... u use 2 through the intercooler

stock cat restricts things so much you wont see full boost. i thought i had a charge pipe leak, but the thing was just taking forever to spool with stock exhaust.
don't be dissapointed, 175WHP is not bad at all, remember that not all engines are the same.
Just get a bigger exhaust and a high flow cat, a boost controller and some stand alone or hondata plus bigger injectors and fuel pump and you already have everything you need, minus the full engine build up.
Good luck

If you think you are losing boost then just for peace of mind go check to make sure all your piping is connected correctly and see if the wastegate and blow off valve brackets are tight and not leaking. You are not hearing a fluttering sound when you go into boost are you?
Yep it will be the CAT it will be getting even more clogged up, thus restricting exhaust flow which means you can't build as much boost up as you should. New hi flow CAT and decent exhaust and you will be smiling.
Don't panic just yet. I put out similar numbers when I first installed my DRAG kit on my B18C1 hatch. I was running a fully built 9:1 compression motor and I spent tons of cash and hours in the garage. I know how you are feeling. Now that you are running turbo you will learn that it is a completely different setup than what you are used to. You will learn that the slightest problems will cause huge horsepower losses. Listen to everyone that has responded to your post. They are all correct. Make sure you replace that cat and exhaust. I prefer a 3" exhaust. Secondly make sure you run your car on the dyno with the wideband. This will tell you your air/fuel ratio per rpm. I suspect you might be running a tad bit too rich with that fmu. Try to invest in an engine management system if you can. Make sure that you talk to someone that knows and understands a dyno sheet. They might be able to tell you if you have some ignition problems as well. Keep your head up because turbo cars can be a pain in the butt. Once you have them running right, you will know that all the hard work is worth it. I would also advise you to do a compression test on your motor to make sure it's in good shape. Good luck and have faith. I am sure you will be back posting up some good numbers. Take care.

I recognize that compressor surge can make the fluttering sound when I lift my foot off the accelerator.
A couple of days ago I was riding with the top stowed away in the trunk, and I ran the car in second to about 7k. I did hear something that I would equate with fluttering when I was under full boost (5psi).
What is that fluttering? Leakage?
Also have you done a tune-up recently?
I picked up 18hp by doing a tune-up (cap,rotor,plugs, and wires).
I'm still below what I want to be making (about 25hp) but it definatly helped.

yeah, i did a tune up about 3000 miles ago. Boost is just staying at .3bar. Also, my fuel pressure guage reads like 10psi at idle?? I dont know what the hell is going on, I will be taking it to Auto LInk in temple city to see if they can help me out. thanks guys for all the info.
