Disadvantages of hondata 2b
i have an oportunity to pick up a hondata stage 2b for a good price, i am running this on a 200 gsr turbo, my question is would i be at any substancial disadvatage usin the 2b instead of opting for the s200 system?
i looked on the website-
any first hand knowlege would be appreciated

personally I'd always spring for the newer technology. (and did) but look at your budget and see if you really need the newer features like boost cut or datalogging, although im not sure if the 2b has them as well.
the only disadvantage of the 2B I can see is maybe Hondata will stop supporting it possibly

thanks alot everyone
im still not sure to wait it out for the s200 or get the 2b for 200$ right now but at least i know i wont be at a huge disadvantage with the 2b.
part of me says BOOST NOW
but then again im a big fan of doing it right the first time
decisions decisions...

In my opionion the stages are better than the s seris for hondata. The newer ones are good in that you can add things later but the stages work fine. I run a 2b on my set up and it works fine.

I was in the same boat as you a few months ago. I opted to save the $ and go with the 2b since i got my whole fuel setup as a package deal for just over the price of an s100, no complaints here.
And yes the stages(2b has the boost cut feature) i know because i've hit it a few times already

you cant control secondaries in the intake manifold if you still have them and i dont think it will let you move the vtec around..to tune it they have to use the older rom editor 2.5 or use V3.0 and convert it to 2.5.it does not have nitrous controlls. and i think all of the s200b come wiht all the options already installed ful throttle shift launch control nitrous control shift light.....i have a stage 2 and i havent had problems tho..

If you are not going to buy the 2B, PM me.

I'm presently in the same boat. I have an opportunity to buy a stage 2 with boost and don't know if I should save for the s200b. Are there any disadvantages of running the stage 2 with a p28 ecu?
