Damn Leaks!!!
Can someone help me. I'm having a problem with leaking oil and exhaust. Let me start on the oil leak then I will explain the exhaust leak. The oil leak is coming from the back of the block. Now I believe it's coming from the oil feed line but I'm not certian. I don't want to over tighten the sending unit nuts because I did that before and split it in half. Can I just put silicon over all the seals to get it to work? Now on to the exhaust leak... my exhaust is leaking from the top of the downpipe (where it meets the compressor). I put all the bolts in there and tightened them up but it still leaks. Should I have a gasket in there because my kit didn't come with one? Thanks!

for the oil leaks. are you using teflon tape? if so that is your problem. use the red rtv sealent, works like a charm.
are you positive it is leaking from the outlet flange on the turbo. do you see the soot or feel the exhaust?

Yeah I am using teflon tape on the fittings. My friend who helped me used it on his setup and it didn't leak at all but on mine, it leaks a little. Where should I go to pick up some of that Red RTV Sealent? And should I take out all the teflon tape and use this stuff instead or just put this stuff around the seals?
About the exhaust... I can feel it coming out from around the flange.

im not surprised if your oil pan is leaking. i still have an oil leak to this day after hours of puttin jb weld on it. the leaks are minor, but a leak is STILL a leak. slap a gasket between the flanges to get rid of the exhaust leak.
