Default damn EMS!!!

heh, Finally decided to upgrade to .94 up from .89 tonight.

Car ran great, starts up so much faster.

So anyways, took my friend for a spin, since it was cool out, and the car was running better than ever.

Decide to do a high speed run, hit 135 (afr dead on at 12:1), next thing i know the car bucks like a ****, i look down and see the afr at like 16, i freak out, stop the car, and am like, holy ****, what the hell just happend, i check my fuel map, looks fine, i richen her up just for kicks......approach 130, afr now at 11, boom hit the damn barrier again,

now im pissed, cuz i dont know if the damn computer is pulling just fuel, or ignition too (hopefully),

anyways, i load my old .89 calibration, and the bitch does 150+ no questions ask

So, unless there is a speed limiter im clueless too, i found a damn bug in the EMS.....

Maybe you started getting knock, and the knock retard/fuel additions cut off fuel?

Maybe you hit fuel cut off.

All the outputs are vehicle speed sensitive in v94. Check your settings to make sure none are set to "less than 130" or something like that. Or you could try turning t3 off, that should be the vss.

AEM enables VSS dependant outputs in V.94, so it's entirely possible that there's something limiting speed in your tune.

I would suggest either:
A) Compare your .94 calibration to an AEM .94 calibration and see what's up

B) Download a compatible AEM .94 calibration and copy the fuel, boost, and ignition maps from your .89 calibration into the AEM calibration.

The conversions have never worked exactly right... copying maps into a new calibration is the best way to move to the new version IMHO.

Mase to me last nite: "How do you convert from .89 to .94?" Then 1 min later: "Nevermind, I'll figure it out."

What the **** are you doing above 130 on a road anyway. What would you like to order sir? I'd like a tuna melt sandwich. No, make that a piston melt.

pull the internal logs and send them.

I just got my EMS last week. Havent really had time to mess around with it yet. Dont have a wideband available to me at all times anyways so it doesnt really matter. I do really like it compared to my hondata.

Mase, whats your setup in your car? Maybe I can use your map.

i had a similar problem with my ems. I think it was just too much timing up top. It happed at about 125-130 mph on the dyno. I never fixed it though because my computer crashed and my eprom in my ems went at the same time. 450 worth of dyno time down the pooper. Oh well, ive got automapping sorta working for me now.
