ok the ZC DOHC uses its own halfshaft, not a Bseries, so the Bseries might not work. im going to buy either the zc shaft or get 86-89 integra axles, and intermidiate shaft, for my civic and see if those will work.

thanks for the help so far. is their any differance from the y8 and z6 cam?

sense i have the y8 cam laying around is it worth installing?

the z6 head is in peices so its no big deal to install it.

also does anything need to be modified to fit the y8 cam in the z6 head?

it bolts right in but you have to use the Y8 timing gear too or else you timing will be off a 1/2 tooth,so if you use a Y8 cam use a Y8 gear or if you use a Z6 cam use a Z6 gear.

I have a JDM D16a6 would I benefit from the y8 inlet mani and throttle body? Making about 215whp at the moment with 12psi. If I ever built the engine I would like to be able to make more powerpast the redline safely any of you guys seen good results with an after market cam?

wow...you must have a TINY turbo...

but the y8 manifold is a lot better than the z6. you might see upwards of 5whp with it!

and i can't say it enough...the 59300 Zex cam is AWESOME.

it gains a LOT of power...and it's very afrodable.

RLZ is direct with Zex.

Nah turbo is actually capable of flowing 400 hp at around 25 psi. There is a lot of power missing from my setup because of poor tuning.
So will this Zex cam go into my engine with no problems do you have any other info on it?

even when fully ported..the y8 still can not flow as well as a mildly ported z6.

y8 heads=TRASH</TD></TR></TABLE>

Just saw this while searching ...ok here's what you do...get a nice port job on the Y8 head and raise the compression around 12's:1. A Y8 head can handle a lot more compression without detonation producing more power...I'm not saying the Y8 head is the best thing ever since sliced bread but personally i would want it over the Z6...especially if you plan to port.

Thats just me,

What are the signs of a spun bearing anyways. Also, there was a small poll on turboD16.com. Most agreed they'd go with the Z6.

All depends on how lucky you are sometimes low oil pressure, knocking noises or metal/copper in your oil.
