D16Y8 and turbo in EF ?
I'm dropping in a new engine D16Y8 with plans of going turbo/sc eventually,
i've used the SEARCH and came up with not much on the D16Y8 +turbo
What kind of PSI should I run on stock internals? The engine has about 30000kms
on it. My estimate would to leave it a 6 psi but what would I have to do to maybe go a little higher?

I'm running 9 PSI right now on a stock D16Y7 block w/D16Y8 head. Custom T3/4 setup, runs great. I was running 7 PSI for about 8 months and then cranked it up to 9. I'll probably run 10 or 11 once I get a Hondata or something tunable.

mplex2000 w/ your t3/t4 when do you reach full boost by? when do your start to spool by? also what a/r and trim sizes are your turbo?
i was looking at possible a t3 super 60 for my d16y8. shooting for 8-10 psi on stock w/ hondata etc... till motor built and then run 12-15psi or try using a t3/t4 instead of super 60.
when talking w/ Turbonetics they suggusted the t3 super 60 w/ .48 a/r w/ std wheel on turbine
any input?

you want to build the bottom end up....not much you can do while your engine is still in the car(internal wise) you can run 8psi safe on stock internals...granted you have colder plugs and retard your timing...
