D16A6 carnage inside!!
Let me start off by saying i didn't do this! Well at least not all of it.
I bought my 90 civic si premodded with a greddy turbo kit and an FMU + pump + regulator + some electric maphack thing as fuel management.
The dumbass that had the car had installed a MBC so i'm guessing he, being an idiot, just cranked the boost to hell and blew the thing. I bought the car with a blown HG so now i guess i know why it was blown it also had crap compression.
I thought i had blown the #3 piston a few weeks ago when i boosted it with 86 octane on accident :-/ But it turns out i think i just shattered the rings on that piston as the ringland was already gone. The rest of the piston's rings' were fine just the lands were blown. Anyway here are the pics.

Im going to rebuild this engine with some new (to me) pistons; hastings rings; bearings and a new head gasket. I already have ARP studs (they ****** own!) so i'm set there. This car should run 100000000x better than it ever had since now i'll have compression again!

no oficial numbers but i know they were bad. My dipstick would blow out of the tube and i had more air/oil coming out of the vavletrain breather than the exhaust pipe some times :-/

That piston look's alittle big for a d16.. What did it come out of???

a 2.5l dodge turbo engine out of a lebaron. those are the beefiest rods any of the turbododges came with, and the same rods the turbo 2 engine has. people make over 500whp with those rods
and the pistons are just mahl cast aluminum pistons.
