hey guys..yeap i've been readin up on the b8 and well...u guys say it's a useless pile of horse ****.
i would like to squeeze some power out of this econo-d15 even though i think it's pointless...but i just wanna experiment with turbo. and what better motor than to experiment with than the amaaaaazzing D15B8! real reason : im poor
questions questions...here we go.
-the hf motor is the 8valve and the cx motor is the 16valve right?
some say that the cx has 8 valves and some have 16 valves blah blah
im asking this because i was thinking about the mini me swap AND turbo
but yeah..if i take off my head and the pistons have 4 dimples each on them..im good for a vtec head without piston replacement since the sohc vtec heads are 16valves correct?
-is a turbo mini me setup a good idea? or am i just asking for a blown motor? i have no idea as to what compression ratio i will have with the mini me.
-since the cx tranny is so goddamn long...would it be ideal for turbo?
-im gonna be boosting at 8psi and i already know that's really pushing the hell outta the d15b8.. will it last at all? here's the setup so u guys could really answer me in detail.
ihi rbh5 turbine which is internally wastegated at 8psi i think? correct me if im wrong. but yeah..that's why i will be running at 8psi..because it's already at 8psi. or can i adjust it?
fuel management is gonna be the greddy blue box

yes..if i win, then i will invest in a sohc zc and boost that! the reason why i wont just start with a sohc zc and boost is well...the bet was beat the zc ek with the d15b8
