Default customizing a downpipe? good idea??

hey guys..i recently ACCIDENTALLY bought a revhard DP (weird 5 bolt pattern) for my garret turbo t3/t4 turbo (4 bolt pattern). i just realized that my Garrett turbo uses a 4bolt pattern. so basically, they are NOT compatible. however, i know places sell the 4-bolt pattern exhaust flange. so i was wondering if it would be a good idea to purchase the 4-bolt exhuast flange and have a muffler shop cut off my REVHARD DP flange and weld on the 4-bolt flange. i hope u guys followed that.

basiclaly, ill be taking to revhard DP and cut the 5-bolt flange off that, and then weld on the 4-bolt flange onto the RH DP..

sounds good? or is this too risky? (future leaks or cracking?)

let me know what u guys think. im not sure if i can return this DP and if i could, i want to avoid all extra shipping charges and hassles

I did that with my revhard dp, although I just used the tight radius part of the dp and made the rest with a mandrel 90 bend. Works fine so far.
