I just installed a TD-05 turbo on my CRX. The turbo is dumping oil into the exhaust. What is causing this and what can I do to fix it?

first i would try posting this into the forced induction thread. New ways it sound like time for a rebuild search the net for info on rebuild kits.

Just out of curiosity how did you find out that it was dumping oil????????

My turbo gfoes on saturday im pimped. Especially after driving around last few days with CRX turbo on the back with my turbo still waiting to =be attached to the mani

 

It blew clouds of white smoke out of the exhaust. There was also a slight oil leak coming from the exhaust downpipe gasket.

me too. g60 16V in my 85 MK2 scirocco. fun car but i think ugly compared to the new found honda.

 

im no genious but i would say you sir need a rebuild.

 

Correct me if I am wrong but white smoke = coolant. Is your turbo oil and coolant cooled? How heavy is the cloud? Does it dissapate quickly? Check you coolant level. Maybe there is a seal leaking....

 

I'm 100% sure its oil. I pulled off the downpipe and the oil just poured out.

 

buy a rebuild kit

 

Umm..yeah that is a pretty good sign its oil ...I guess........defineately sounds like oil seals are gone then.....
