Default CRX new charge pipe and battery relocation.

Started out with this.

Next cut the old end off the intercooler and cut a new path for the piping. No longer running through the usual hole.

Cleans up the bay, not so cramped.

Some big pipes, but needs some more custom fit.

Next find a new home for the battery, out of sight and tucked away. Had to trim away some bumper.

Not backdoor, but it works.

All done, new 3 inch piping with HKS SSQ BOV in the mix.

Don't mind the wiring, was temporary till I can tuck it all away right.

Thanks to Randy for the awesome setup and redoing the dump tube. I'm very happy with the results. Now a few more little tweaks and it will be ready to head to NOPI in a few weeks.

Just another way to run a turbo in an EF. I really like the battery relocation. Think it frees up a lot of room.

Is that a ground distribution point where the battery used to be located?

No, power distribution, Was temporary till I got the car home and could redo the batter cables.

Yes from the frame rail to the tranny. you can see it under the piping.

You might want to run it directly from the battery to the block, near as possible to either alternator or thermostat housing ground. Every time you have a connection it's a resistance drop, and I also see a lot of cars with bad drops going from fraime rail-->trans bracket-->trans-->engine-->thermostat housing. Little things like that add up and cause problems in the EFI system, either by molesting sensors or by making the basic power supply/storage/distribution system prone to quirks.

Oh, yeah, I almost forgot. Your car is ******* beautiful.

Looks very nice...if you can get the bumper to fit, i'd call it perfect. I really feel bad for and generally envy those of you who work on EF's. I hate having fitment issues, but you take it to a whole new level AND STILL have a cleaner engine bay than me!!

Props

looks great i like the battery placement. i should have ran my charge piping like that and put the battery there instead of putting it in the hatch .
